The Suncrest Philosophy

Growth Is Only Achieved Through the Greatest Efforts of The Entire Team

Whether you are a volunteer or healthcare professional, we all work together to create memorable final days for our patients.

At Suncrest, we believe that each opportunity with a patient is a gift, and we make the most of the time we get to spend in their company. We strive to go above and beyond for our patients, helping them to check off their bucket list goals while reminding ourselves just how precious our lives are, and how much can be gained by helping others achieve their end-of-life dreams.

Our Mother was told she would only have about 3 to 4 days to live. With the help of your staff and their caring hearts, she was able to stay with us for 7 months. I would like to thank each care member from the intake staff to the very person who came and declared her passing.
We appreciated the chaplin coming out and singing and playing his guitar to mom. It really kept her spirits up. Our social worker was a great help to ease our worries. She really reassured us to make sure we knew that we were doing a good job. Once in a while it’s a great thing to know and feel.
If we ever had any questions our nurse let us know to always call the 24 hour number line and someone will always pick up. During her last week it really touched our mom that her nurse came to check on her every single day. She thanked mom and told her she loved her, which really made us tear up with happiness because she was able to go through this experience in the most comfortable way possible.
Whatever it is that you are doing with the company to become a team/family keep it up, you are doing a great job. Your staff is excellent and you should be proud. I don’t think we would be able to get through it without you all.
I am really pleased to get the greatest of service from Suncrest. From the Long family we thank you from our hearts for all your handwork and dedication.
It was not the easiest of paths that we have to go through in life but it truly was an experience showering her with all the love attention every single day and seeing her transition from her life here to the afterlife was truly amazing. Thank you for all you do!!! We truly appreciate you!! Comforting us through these difficult times.
Sincerely yours,
May God Bless each and every one of you!!

Words cannot really show our appreciation and our thankfulness that Suncrest was there to take care of our Dad, Husband, and Grandpa. They were so good with Dad and he looked forward to having them come with their cheerful attitudes and professionalism. Their compassion and their gift of caring were evident every time a team member visited. With lots of love.

I’m flooded with tears of appreciation… deep un-equaled appreciation! The memories of your genuinely kind, smiling, caring faces… Your very well timed words of thoughtfulness, assurance, and support. You all earned our trust from day one. You stepped in and removed our burden of confusion. You provided calm and structure to me, my husband, and our family. We thank you for your skills of caring, kindness, calm, patience, listening, hearing, seeing, intuition, wisdom, expertise, heart and courage to step up and step in!

Who do you want with you at the most difficult time in your life? The one word answer is Suncrest. Our Suncrest nurse was a paragon of peace and understanding. I can’t begin to describe how useful and humane this team was during the last ten days of my mom’s life and how much comfort they brought us. I am so grateful to have had their steady hand and open hearts for the end game and the soft landing after a bumpy ride. You guys are nothing short of amazing!

An Illinois Family

I was brushing the hair of a patient and her son was sitting beside her bed. He asked me ‘What made you want to work for hospice?’ I quickly explained that while we can’t change the outcome, we can change the experience. He nodded his head and said ‘yes’. I’m grateful to Suncrest that they not only allow but encourage us not to hurry through visits. They let us take time to hold hands, listen to their stories, and share a couple of smiles

Suncrest Hospice is a great company to work for. The patient to nurse ratio is realistic and not overwhelming at all like some other hospice companies. The hospice nurse is actually allowed to care for the patients instead of the patients being a number. The management team is excellent and very accessible to me. Whenever I want to discuss a topic, problem or change I want to make, the management team quickly responds to me. The management team validates my topic or issue and makes quick work to find solution that is acceptable.

We used Suncrest for both a sister and a brother who passed just 8 days apart. Christine was our nurse and she was WONDERFUL. She was so caring and tender with not only our siblings, but with us. I highly recommend Suncrest Hospice.
